Proportional valves ensure that height corrections are quick and smooth, efficiently, and effectively conquering the most challenging terrain. With NORAC, users can have confidence their boom will always be at the desired pre-set height, reducing operator stress and allowing more time to focus on proper safety and coverage.

Boom Height Control Modes
Norac Boom Height Control offers three boom height control modes depending on your terrain.
- Soil Mode™- senses the soil surface.
- Crop Mode™- senses the top of the crop canopy.
- Hybrid Mode™- combines the function of the other operating modes by tracking both the soil surface and crop canopy simultaneously.
- If the canopy is not continuous, Hybrid Mode™ will follow the soil surface and determine a “virtual” crop canopy, resulting in a stable height in all crop conditions.
NORAC Sprayer Boom Height Control Systems
Standard Control
This low-cost height control solution for smaller booms (up to 90’) is ideal for mild, flatter terrain. It automatically and independently controls the main lift height while utilizing existing on/off valves to control each wing independently.
Passive Roll
This solution is available for nearly all sprayer models on the market and is our most popular option. While similar to the Standard Control system, Passive Roll includes NORAC Proportional Valves to deliver faster, smoother, and more precise control, enhancing safety and efficiency.
Active Roll
The design of this premium boom control is ideal for all boom sizes and the most unpredictable terrain. It automatically and independently controls the main lift while utilizing NORAC Proportional Valves to ensure smooth independent control of each wing. It also monitors, measures, and controls boom center section roll to maintain an ideal, pre-set height.
Active Wing Roll
This premium height control solution fits nearly every sprayer model and boom length on the market. Active Wing Roll automatically and independently controls the main lift while utilizing NORAC Proportional Valves to ensure smooth independent control of each wing. Left and right wings are hydraulically linked to simulate roll without manipulating the center section to maintain an ideal, pre-set height in the most challenging terrain.
